24 Carat Gold leaf, lacquer and pigments on etched pressed steel disks – 54.8 x 5.7 cm
Gold Shields are a set of three pressed steel plates etched with meteorological maps of the Arctic, triple gilded with 24 Carat Gold. The work references the geo-political divisions of oceanic territories and causal relationships between the exploitation of resources, oceanic pollution and increasing climate instability.
