Neon, tree and galvanised steel

Installed during an arts and music festival live forever was made for the first show of The Environmental Art Project*. The work took the form of a neon sign, replicating a hand written piece of text. The neon message pulsed slowly on and off, creating an incongruous relationship between the artwork and the natural environment.

commissioned by UZ Events for The Environmental Art Project

*Initiated by UZ Events in partnership with Glasgow School of Art, The Environmental Art Project is aimed at combining challenging work from students of Scottish art schools, alongside installations by established artists working throughout the world. As curator of the project my aim was to merge the park and the festival as breathing elements in a series of interconnected installations, created collaboratively by the artists involved.
